Merry Christmas, gang!
This is just a quick note from me to say thank you for all your support this year. It’s been a huge one for me photographically, with my first exhibition in February, getting my print shop up and running, making the finals of the Mexico Street Photo Festival, scoring an honourable mention in the Paris International Street Photo Awards and being one of the winners of the All About Photo 2024 Street Competition.
I really appreciate everybody who’s bought a print, sent me a message, liked a post or just read my sporadic emails. That encouragement means a lot in what is often a solitary pursuit.
A big shoutout goes to my printer, Iain Anderson of Charing Cross Photo. He’s given me some great advice in 2024, and he’s the best in the game. If you need stuff printed and framed in Sydney, VISIT HIM.
An even bigger one goes to my fiancee and creative partner, Hannah. Not only does she inspire me and push me creatively, she gives me practical help with editing and shooting every single day. Twice in the last week she’s spotted something for me, pulled the car over mid journey and waited around for me to take my silly little photos. As a street photographer (and just as a human being), there’s nothing more powerful than that unconditional support.
Watch this space in 2025 - I’m cooking up an exciting project about Kings Cross with my friend, audio documentary maker Mike Williams, which you’ll be sick of hearing about by the time it comes around. January is a pretty quiet time in the photo world, so feel free to buy a print or book me if you need portrait, event, family or business photos.
Have a great break and a glorious summer. Here are some festive photos I’ve taken in Sydney over the last few weeks to get you in the mood. See you next year!
